Mimi Chinese Miami needed a bar that could hold its own in one of Miami Beach's boldest dining rooms — a sweeping red lacquer space with art deco details and a striking checkerboard floor. Because the room already had so much color and pattern, the stone couldn't fade into the background; it had to speak the same language of drama. That's why Solid Stone specified a marble bar top and tabletops for Mimi Chinese Miami, chosen for how its veining catches the warm lamplight against the room's reds and golds. As a result, the bar reads as part of the room's identity, not just a surface it happens to sit on.

The Brief
Mimi Miami needed a bar surface bold enough to hold its own against a dining room built on deep reds, art deco lighting, and a striking checkerboard floor. We specified a polished marble for the bar top and tabletops, chosen for the way its veining reads against the room's warmth. Every surface was templated and fabricated in Concord before installation in Miami Beach.
